Purpose

Each participant will gain a closer relationship with God as they discover whom He is and what it means to be transformed into His image.  By definition, image means a physical likeness, representation or reflection of a person.

Objective

Encourage others to dwell in the Word of God and be led by His Holy Spirit into His desire for every individual’s life.

Guidelines

The study consists purely of the Word of God; our goal is to strictly dwell in His literal Word.  There is no discussion of religious doctrine in these studies. You can study as an individual or form a small group.  Each person is encouraged to call upon the Holy Spirit for interpretation and read the scripture referenced at the top of each lesson.  After reading the Bible and answering the questions below, review the notes provided and other biblical footnotes and commentaries.

Preparation

As you read, answer the following questions that are applicable to each section:

  • Who is God writing to or about?

  • What are the attributes, character, or action of each?

  • What other scriptures do these verses bring to mind?

  • What is the main topic?

  • What warning or curse does God give?

  • What promise or covenant is God offering?

  • How is God seeking to change you?

  • Make a special note of enlightenment that God gives you that are not in the prepared material.  Group studies should attempt to discuss these when you come together.

Discussion

God speaks through His Word to each of us as individuals according to our maturity, walk with the Lord, and circumstances of life. Conversations should focus on the lesson, but be open to as many insights as time allows.
